New planning policy should make life easier for farmers

Recent streamlining of national planning policy (PPS 4) should make it easier for development to take place in rural areas without access to public transport. The changes should result in local planning authorities looking more favourably on new agricultural buildings, farm diversification, affordable housing and re-development of farm buildings.
